So much wisdom here. It really is a spiritual challenge we are undergoing. In the end, there is no collective. We come here alone, we leave alone, and in the meantime we have to figure out why we are here. Love others is what the spiritual teachers say. The cavalry is not coming for us. No one “out there” is coming to save us. We are each on a personal journey, yet we are all connected to the Universe and to each other. We are an individual part of the whole. We are each a part of the Universe experiencing itself. And we won’t inhabit our current body forever.
The only real problem we have is a feeling of separation from our source, or however you prefer to name that energy. Love heals and brings joy, and fear and hatred brings pain and suffering. When people can get in touch with the loving part of themselves, they attract more love. This is why healing ourselves is the way out of this. We are part of all that is, and we are connected to that electrically. We cannot, not matter how hard we try, disconnect from our source. We do not need an intermediary. We just forget just how much power that connection gives us.
Those who want to control us cannot control those in a state of love, because in that state one will not allow that negative energy to use them. Love is a healing energy, and hatred brings more of the same. Choose love and attract love.
Only we can change ourselves. It’s a choice.
Speak truth. Love one another. It’s the only way out.
There may be cluelessness and a general lack of direction -- as well as mass amnesia -- at the ground level, but those who operate the levers of society thrive on this constant state of confusion. Global developments therefore are making less sense by the day. Here is an example:

In modern times there seems to be a further factor confusing the minds of men, that is the general inability to discern truth. Anchorless, man finds himself unable to percieve, to assess the condition of his life. What are the values to which I aspire? Fracturing these with a post modern hammer leaves us with no ability to formulate a "vocation". All is not lost but the job has just become harder.
