First we hear of China with deep seek that requires 10x less power than big tech AI.
Then we hear doofuses like Larry Ellison talking about making an AI farm that has mini nuclear reactors. Umm, yeah those mini reactors aren't functional yet...
So why the obsession with more and more power?
Like the morons in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, they'll destroy the earth in order to get their enlightenment super computer. But their questions are stupid and like in Hitchhikers, the answer will be 42. 😂
An excellent description of the threats we are facing. Thank you. - It is very sad that society in general does not see the glory possible in evolving the human species - as human. Individually, it is up to me to pursue with vigor greater and greater potential on all levels. We need to be strong and deeply connected to Something Greater than ourselves. We need to model how glorious this evolution can be.
David A. Hughes is an academic who has written a well researched book downloadable for free from his substack page which describes the grab for power from a small number of “elites” via technocracy named

Excellent, as always. If you’re at all interested in reading more about the specific spiritual components of transhumanism as well as the individuals who codified them, please consider looking into Ervin Laszlo and the Club of Budapest. Among the general public, even the most ardent truthseekers, they are basically unknown, yet within transhumanist circles, they are already well on their way toward becoming something of a priesthood.
An excellent video on the religion of transhumanism, the oligarchs pushing the chipping of human brains to merge with “A.I.” (such as Elon Musk) and the overlap between Big Pharma’s CRISPR and mRNA coercion and the transhumanist agenda.
I do not share Joe Allen's Trump idolizing and statist based views on "illegal immigrants" (considering all of us are at the very least, descendants of “illegal immigrants” to this continent, unless we are indigenous) but I do think he made some astute observations and poignant points in his book pertaining to "A.I." (so I bought a copy) and I am glad he was quoted in that context here in this video.
I think it is also worth highlighting that, even if "A.I." is not sentient and never becomes "AGI", these chatbots are still capable of diluting and polluting human intelligence through how humans use them to write articles and books that millions of humans read.
Just look at these garbage "A.I." LLM Chatbot generated books that are flooding amazon and how many people are buying them:
These mind numbing garbage books are altering people's thought patterns to become more machine like, in a sort of slow motion linguistic to psychological to biological transhumanist mind virus effect.
And then, ya, there are the killer robot dogs and drone swarms too...
What if, like printing/typing in a bunch of money with no productivity backing it, AI content serves to "dump water in the soup" and split us intellectually the way the former has split us financially? There will be no cognitive middle class any more. The highly intelligent will become more so as we scour content in favor of stuff we know wasn't written by a bot, sharpening our brains in a sort of reverse Turing Test. The bottom 9/10ths will be found soaking their artificial houseplants in sports drink.
The few people I have heard talk about transhumanism sound like a cult member in my opinion, but this book seems different, it would be interesting to read.
But to be honest, the only reason why I think AI will become more intelligent or a threat to humans, is because AI is “helping” humans to become less intelligent. Why read a whole book if AI can give me a resume? Why researching something if AI can give me the answer? Why putting in the work of learning and expanding my curiosity, if AI can give me what I want without effort?
People are imagining a future with AI like a technological advanced utopia (or dystopia depending on your point of view), when in reality humans might end up like the fat humanity from Wally, but with zero critical thinking, and no motivation to improve. 😂
I'm already seeing it happen . . . . Even those who are warning about the dangers of AI, keep using (or developing) AI mindlessly . . . .
"You know, I think AI will probably . . . most likely sort of lead to the end of the world. But, in the meantime, there will be great companies created with serious machine learning." ~ Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI
It's curious. Most of the ai thinkers quoted are from West, either Europe or us, and they project on the ai the very mindset of that culture. The notion that the other is a threat, mainly. As long as ai doesn't think as a human, let's see if it will reproduce a narrow strip of human thought (the anglo-saxon/roman is the only example everybody seems able to think of) or if we'll have to think of mycelium, or octopuses, or anyone else who performs intelligent behavior on this planet. I simply don't buy that "europe and its possibilities are the one and only standard for human thought" bias.
As good an 'explainer' as I've yet read... yet that said, there are critical angles to the 'discovery process' as to what AI is 'all about' which are absent here. Perhaps most important would be the 'caste' element to this project - clearly hinted in the Altman quote - "at least for some of us" - for which there should not be any confusion in comprehension!
He - like Zucks, Brin and so many of the folks behind the 'weaponisation' of tech ... are part of the great diaspora of judaics who leached out of the eastern marches of Europe/Rus starting in the C19th, and reaching flood proportions 100 years later... when Red Rudy Giuliani arranged for the importation & subsidisation of Russian 'religious refugees' as a 'humanitarian' gesture. Nobody at the time was aware of the 'progressivist' model of "haitian/latinamerican/third world/ 'refugee flooding" so it went unremarked by all.
Using their taxpayer funded degrees and intelligence agency sponsorship to pull start up $ towards them, these kids (like F- Elon would later do) got access to everything needed to set up tech workshops which combined the 'cutting edge' researches on mind control they brought/bought out of the Soviet Union with the latest in "nazi" style western "advances" in same. Result was the California colossus that merged with the previous political 'action-group' of neo-trotskyites who rebranded themselves as "conservatives" after parasitizing the 'right' and merging with the 'nativist' mafiyas of Lansky/Bronfman and their italian frontmen.
.
THEY AND THEY ONLY are the 'some of' whom Altman is referring to. There are no plans to include YOU IN THE MIX. Which is why it's disappointing to see Joe Allen stray so far from 'reality' - whether innocently or by design - as to write
“Human beings will be forced—as a matter of survival—to merge with the superintelligent machines they’ve created. (Or rather…the masses will be forced to merge with machines created by a handful of inventors and controlled by elites who are themselves possessed by digital intelligences.)”
T'ain't so Joe. As well ye know. The masses are 'cancelled' - permanently - in that model world to come. As Hariri can(but won't) tell ya... the 166,000 judaic 'virgins'(meaning only 'virgin' to 'knowing' womenkind!' not sexually 'virgin!') prophecized to 'inherit this earth' are poised to complete that takeover... and their control over everything 'creative' including birth itself... is the key to understanding the motive of these sad lil boys playing 'god.'
Interesting thoughts. I do think we are playing way too fast and lose with AI. You definitely made me want to read Dark Aeon: Transhumanism and the War against Humanity.
I absolutely agree with you—AI is advancing way too fast. Its exponential growth means that yearly improvements now surpass what would take humans decades in specific tasks. While many argue that AI lacks true consciousness, self-awareness, and independent reasoning, making its progress fundamentally different from human evolution, I personally disagree with that view—and I say this as someone with an MSc and a PhD in AI.
I’m not well but not schizophrenic and not on hallucinogenic drugs, so I’m not sure why I’m seeing synchronicities everywhere but also feel like AI is manipulating suggestive algorithms malevolently or at least mischievously. I’m already at a mental health disadvantage, but how will anyone be able to hold their minds intact by 2030 or even sooner with the exponential rate by which we’re ascending to our holographic dystopia of a reality? Time seems like it’s speeding up and the internet being filled with Chinese AI content farms and bots is the only way real life is currently that distinguishable from online; when AI exists in humanoid form I’m not sure we won’t be closer to ASI than we are to having already gotten AGI from where we are now.
Fear porn ... A machine will never know anything. But man can forget a lot if he believes in this machine. Compare Shakespearean language with the slang used by Elon Mask. That's where things are headed right now. It doesn't look like a new Greece or even a new Rome. It looks much more like a new Middle Ages. The good thing about it: it will be short. Because Don Quixote marked the end of it. Just as Don Elon will have marked the end of this farce.
I am struck by how this conversation illuminates the difference between relationship and extraction in our technological development. When we approach ai and digital systems with the same reverence we might bring to a forest or a river ( not seeking to dominate but to co-create) something fundamentally different emerges. What resonates most with me is the rejection of the narrative that positions human as an obsolete biological entity awaiting "upgrade". Instead, I see the possibility of technology that honors the wisdom inherent in human experience and connection. I've been quietly building alongside others who believe technology should serve relationship rather than replace it. It's heartening to find voices that celebrate co-creation over dominance, especially as the mainstream conversation so often veers towards technological determinism. Perhaps the most revolutionary act isn't creating ever more powerful systems, but changing how we behold what we've already created with wonder, care and appreciation for the mystery that remains uncodable!
I'm not interested in what the elites want or think. I want no part of this insanity. Anyone who is so foolish that they can't see how destructive and anti-human this agenda is, is a damn fool. I don't want machine intelligence to do my thinking for me, my driving, my writing, my work, or anything else. The whole point of existence is to live and grow through our own efforts and experience.
Is this machine dystopia what you want for your children? Your grandkids?
And what unbridled hubris for these warped, soul-less billionaires to imagine that they have the right to alter life as we know it on earth!
The loony, greedy elites and their corporations and industries are presently destroying the planet and other species at an unprecedented rate. Let's work on solving THOSE problems and leave some hope for future generations. How sad that these tech bro lunatics are so disconnected from nature and from God that this actually seems appealing to them!
